Fundamentals Critical Care Support – Train the Trainer

Course Overview

The Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS) Train-the-Trainer course is designed to prepare instructor candidates to effectively facilitate the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s internationally recognized FCCS course. Participants develop the knowledge and instructional skills needed to teach learners how to recognize clinical deterioration and manage critically ill and injured patients, particularly in non-intensivist settings such as residents, nurses, pharmacists, and house staff.

Course Description

The terminal objective of this course is to develop knowledge and skills that will allow to facilitate the Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS) course. The Society of Critical Care Medicine’s (SCCM) internationally renowned two-day FCCS course is the go-to resource for training non-intensivists house staff, residents, pharmacists, nurses, or other critical care practitioners how to recognize patient status deterioration and manage critically ill and injured patients effectively. This Train the Trainer course must be completed in conjunction with a traditional FCCS course in order for the instructor candidates to fulfill the requirements of teaching two components of an FCCS course prior to attaining full instructor status.

Non-intensivists house staff, residents, pharmacists, nurses, or other critical care practitioners.
