Course Overview
The Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Lifesavers: Advancing Care Through Best Practices and Immersive Simulation is a live, interprofessional educational activity designed to enhance clinical knowledge, decision-making, and team-based care in the management of patients requiring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). This course allows participants to stay up to date on current evidence-based practices, emerging protocols, and strategies for standardizing ECMO care across disciplines.
The ECMO Immersive Symposium is a live, interprofessional educational activity designed to strengthen clinical knowledge, decision-making, and team-based care in the management of patients requiring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Through expert-led presentations, case-based discussions, and collaborative learning, participants will explore current evidence-based ECMO practices, advances in management protocols, and strategies for standardizing care across disciplines. The symposium emphasizes practical application of updated ECMO protocols, interprofessional collaboration, and role-specific responsibilities to improve patient outcomes and promote safe, efficient ECMO program delivery

Physicians and advanced practice providers in cardiology, pulmonology, critical care, cardiothoracic surgery, and vascular surgery; nurses; perfusionists.
